The Rose Trust is an independent charity, registered with the Charity Commission, Charity Number 208004

About us...
The Rose Trust was established by a Deed dated January 3, 1944, by Constance Evelyn Rose and Thomas Harold Rose to provide charitable benefit for the poor and deserving inhabitants of the Parish of Wadhurst.
The Trust own and maintains nine cottages located in Sparrow's Green in Wadhurst, to be held in perpetuity for this charitable purpose.
The cottages, known as Rosslyn, Bankside, Homeleigh, Rosemount, Rosemead, Rosedene, The Haven, Roselea, and Westcott, are managed by a body of trustees which, according to the trust deed, must consist of the Vicar of the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Wadhurst and four representative trustees.
The trustees manage the properties and let the cottages, giving preference as tenants to married couples with young families and those who have difficulty obtaining suitable accommodation elsewhere due to their means or family size.
The net rents and profits from the cottages, after expenses for repair and insurance, are applied by the trustees for the benefit of the poor and deserving inhabitants of the Parish of Wadhurst in accordance with the Trust policy.
